Nature Walks with ToddlersIt’s finally fall “ish” in LA.  Halleluyah.  We got out the wicker basket and went on a nature walk around the neighborhood, collecting anything from leaves to flowers to pinecones.  Gigi got bored of looking after a few minutes but she remained very interested in holding the basket throughout our walk.  Ahh, the life of a toddler.  Prior to class I had invited other moms from play group to take their own nature walks and bring their findings to class.  I covered an oversized canvas in clear contact paper for the kids to stick their leaves and flowers too.  It was so great seeing even the little ones participate and of course, kids took turns holding the basket.  This is a great ongoing activity.  We will keep it out over the next week or so and see what happens.  It definitely doesn’t feel done yet.
